• Wolfson Children’s Hospital has been ranked in six of 10 categories in this year’s U.S. News Media Group’s Best Children’s Hospitals rankings. The six categories include eight pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties. This year’s rankings are double the number of categories the hospital ranked in last year.
• The CoreLogic research firm reported that Jacksonville home prices, including distressed sales, increased by 4.6 percent in April from April 2011 and increased by 1.9 percent in March compared to March 2011. Excluding distressed sales, year-over-year prices increased by 3.6 percent in April and increased by 2.6 percent in March.
