• Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey is scheduled as the guest speaker this morning at “Breakfast with The Jaguars, Keeping It Teal!” sponsored by the Northeast Florida Builders Association. The 7:30-9 a.m. event is planned at the University of North Florida University Center.

• Gov. Rick Scott reappointed Charlotte Temple, the advocacy director for Arc Jacksonville Inc., to the Commission for the Transportation Disadvantaged. Her term began Wednesday and ends Aug. 13, 2013.

• The City issued a permit for construction of a three-story, 61,425-square-foot office building for Medtronic Inc. at 6703 Southpoint Drive N. The contractor for the $6.64 million project is Summit Contractors Group Inc.

• Jax Water Tours launched operations at Beach Marine along Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville Beach. Cruising out of Nippers Beach Grille, Jax Water Tours offers morning eco-tours, sunset cruises, weekend twilight cruises, themed cruises, special event trips and private charters. • City Council member Greg Anderson called a meeting of the City Council Courthouse Oversight Special Committee at 4 p.m. Monday at City Hall for an update on the Duval County Courthouse construction. The new courthouse was schedule to open May 29 but has been delayed because of failed fire-safety inspections.
