The Florida Bar will honor 145 attorneys Friday for 50 years of dedication to the practice of law.
Seven lawyers are from the 4th Circuit of Clay, Duval and Nassau counties:
• Bruce S. Bullock, Jacksonville.
• Paul C. Doyle, Jacksonville.
• John Frierson Gaillard, Jacksonville.
• Herman Stanley Paul, Jacksonville.
• H. Franklin Perritt Jr., Jacksonville.
• Walter Rogers Stedeford, Jacksonville.
• Dean Charles Houk Jr., Amelia Island.
Five lawyers are from the 7th Circuit of Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties:
• Gaylord Ashlyn Wood Jr., Bunnell.
• The late Homer H. Humphries Jr., Ponte Vedra Beach.
• Thomas William Staed, Daytona Beach.
• Frank Alexander Ford, Deland.
• Ralph Paul Douglas, New Smyrna Beach.
One lawyer is from the 8th Circuit of Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy and Union counties:
• James Daniels Salter, Gainesville
The 145 lawyers’ service will be acknowledged during a luncheon at The Florida Bar's Annual Convention Wednesday-Saturday at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando.
To be recognized, attorneys must be members in good standing of The Florida Bar and attain their 50th anniversary of admittance to the practice of law in 2012.
The luncheon is sponsored by The Florida Bar's Young Lawyers Division and will be held at 12:30 p.m.
Florida's Fifth District Court of Appeal Judge Robert J. Pleus Jr., a 50-year honoree, will be the featured speaker.
