∙ Sally Corp.’s new interactive dark ride, “Justice League: Alien Invasion 3D,” is set to open in September at Warner Bros. Movie World on Australia’s Gold Coast. Jacksonville-based Sally said the ride will bring the world’s most famous super heroes to life, battling alongside park guests “in an epic fight to defeat one of the most feared villains in the DC Universe.” Created with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment, the adventure features Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern and Supergirl in a fight to save Earth from destruction. Sally Corp. pulled together a team including Threshold Animation Studios, Alterface, Techni-Lux, RealD, Bose, Bertazzon, MSI Design Inc. and Sculpt Studios (Australia), among others.

∙ James Butcher has been hired as a business consultant in the Northeast for the Jacksonville Port Authority. A contract for $62,500 was approved Monday by JaxPort’s Awards Committee. He has more than 40 years of experience in the transportation and logistics business and will maintain regular contact with JaxPort customers and prospects in the Northeast, where most steamship carriers and major cargo customers operating in the U.S. are headquartered, said Nancy Rubin, JaxPort communications director. In his senior leadership roles with Hoegh Autoliners, Butcher helped oversee the line’s expansion to four U.S. port terminals, including the Blount Island Marine Terminal in Jacksonville.
