Jaguars owner Shahid Khan made it clear from the day he was introduced as owner that one of his priorities is to reconnect with the fan base and improve the game-day experience.

That has been reflected in recent front-office moves.

The Jaguars recently hired two new senior vice presidents. Hussain Naqi is the senior vice president of fan experience and Scott Massey is the senior vice president of partnerships.

“The organization has redistributed duties that have previously been handled in other areas. We have added some resources to better do the things we are trying to do,” said Dan Edwards, Jaguars senior vice president of media and communications.

Naqi was vice president of business planning and general counsel at the New Meadowlands Stadium Co., the former employer of Jaguars President Mark Lamping.

Naqi will be responsible for the fan’s game-day experience from when they arrive to when they exit the stadium. Edwards said Naqi also will handle stadium operations duties previously handled by Senior Vice President Bill Prescott, who will focus on his duties as chief financial officer for the Jaguars.

Massey will join the Jaguars in the next few weeks. He was previously responsible for title sponsor relations for the PGA Tour. Massey will be responsible for developing partnerships and marketing, which will allow Senior Vice President Macky Weaver to focus on ticket sales. Weaver was previously responsible for marketing and sales.
