Several thousand spectators took advantage of the Monday holiday to view the City’s Veterans Day Parade.

About 4,000 marchers and vehicles of all types wound along Independent Drive, Water Street, Newnan Street and East Bay Street from the Times-Union Center to EverBank Field for the annual patriotic display. Participants included Mayor Alvin Brown, active duty and retired military officials and units, local high school marching bands and ROTC members.

The procession lasted more than two hours.
