About 1,400 students Thursday went to The Florida Theatre for "Theatreworks presents The Night Before Christmas." The show was the kickoff for the holiday schedule at the historic venue. On the schedule Dec. 6-8 are six performances of "The Community Nutcracker," "Peter White Christmas" featuring Rick Braun and Mindi Abair on Dec. 12 and The Big Orange Chorus presents "Sounds of the Season 2012" on Dec. 15.
