How did you get involved?
I first became involved in the Jacksonville community with The Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section when I ran for a YLS board of governors position in 2004.
How can someone else get involved?
Volunteer your time and/or legal expertise to a cause or organization that is significant to you. There are unlimited ways attorneys can support our community and those most in need. The Jacksonville Bar Association’s diverse sections, including the YLS, offer so many valuable opportunities for involvement in the legal community and Jacksonville community at large. Participation can be limited to a one time, one-day project or involvement with a specific committee or section.
What have you learned/achieved through the experience?
The value of collaborative decision-making to better an organization or community. The fulfillment and gratitude of serving others in need and developing connections with many other attorneys I would not have met nor had the honor to work with except through my service.
What was the last book you read or are reading?
“To Kill a Mockingbird,” by Harper Lee.
