Once each year, the faculty of the University of North Florida Art & Design Department exhibits its work at the Museum of Contemporary Art. This year’s exhibit opened Monday and will be on display through Jan. 6.

The 2012 faculty exhibition includes paintings, drawings, prints, photographs and sculptures by full-time and adjunct faculty members, including Louise Freshman Brown, Alex Diaz, Nofa Dixon, Raymond Gaddy, Jenny Hager, Paul Karabinis, Kyle Keith, Kate Miller, Jeff Whipple and others.

Also at MOCA, as a complement to the “ReFocus: Art of the 1980s” feature exhibit, a marathon of three films directed by John Hughes is scheduled from 4-11:30 p.m. Saturday. The

lineup begins with “The Breakfast Club” followed by “Sixteen Candles” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

Dinner at Café Nola is included in the $30 ticket price. Selections are tuna sushi and seaweed salad, roasted veggie

sub with pasta salad or “Long Duck Dong” salad with spicy noodles and smoked duck breast. Seats are limited and reservations must be made by 6 p.m. today.
