Each year for the past 25 years, the Southern Women’s Show has come to Jacksonville to showcase the latest products and services for women of all ages and interests.
More than 400 vendors have set up inside the Osborn Center for this year’s show, which is open through Sunday.
Liz Morgan, show spokeswoman, said many vendors offer products that aren’t available other than at the show and many items are less than $20.
“A lot of guests come to the show to buy gifts and there are only 66 shopping days until Christmas,” she said Thursday.
Dozens of clothing, shoe and accessory booths are set up at this year’s show along with boutique displays by Belk and Dillard’s department stores.
In addition to merchandise, food also is a focus at the show. More than 20 vendors are offering free samples of their products and cooking demonstrations are scheduled each day.
Chevrolet is displaying the pink “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” Camaro convertible inside the show. Outside, anyone who test-drives a new Chevrolet will receive a $5 Starbucks gift card.
Teresa Giudice, one of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey,” is scheduled to appear on the Fashion & Entertainment Stage at 1 p.m. Sunday.
Since it’s the 25th anniversary of the show, cake will be served and $15,000 in prizes will be given away, said Morgan.
“It’s a four-day party,” she said.
