Halloween revelry started long before sundown Thursday when Downtown merchants spent the lunch hour handing out candy and coupons to customers and pedestrians.

Many of the business owners and staff were in costume, as were pedestrians.

The Brick Coffee House, Chamblin's Uptown, CoWork Jax, Dalton Agency, Daniel James Salon, Diversions Relaxation Gift Store, Downtown Vision Inc., Grease Rags Clothing Co., Indochine, Like That Cut Barber Shop, Pho A Noodle Bar, The UPS Store, Urban Grind Coffee Co., Visit Jacksonville and Xtreme Kettle Corn and Treat Factory were the participating businesses in the inaugural "Trick or Treat on the Street," organized by Downtown Vision.
