The city is reviewing plans for Brooks Rehabilitation’s proposed $13.6 million, 111-bed University Crossing skilled nursing and rehabilitation center at 6210 Beach Blvd.
Brooks Rehabilitation expects to start construction this summer on the 80,000-square-foot, three-story center, which is being developed next to Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital.
The center will provide options for patients needing both short-stay rehabilitation as well as longer-term care. It will include two specialty units —a 12-bed unit for patients requiring a ventilator and a 10-bed brain injury unit.
Brooks Rehabilitation expects to open University Crossing next year. The center is at southeast Beach and University boulevards.
