Interesting walk-in closets, unique shower designs and nice uses of outdoor/indoor use of space are what Realtors saw on the most recent SAM Tram of the Intracoastal West and Beaches area.

The Realtors visited model homes in Providence Island at Queen’s Harbour, Anniston Pines, Residences at Wynnfield Lakes, Highland Glen, Palermo, Crosswater at Pablo Bay and Paradise Key South Beach communities last month.

About 50 Realtors attended the SAM Tram, which is open to area Realtors who want to spend a day riding buses around neighborhoods.

Eileen McVeigh of Re/Max Coastal enjoyed the variety of homes she viewed on the SAM Tram.

McVeigh said the most unique features she noted were the electrical outlets that users could plug their phone charger into and the owner’s suite over the garage.

McVeigh also noted the homes had more of a Mediterranean architectural style, instead of the traditional stucco or brick homes.

“It’s a nice change,” said McVeigh.

Realtor Lisa Vernon of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services said that the Intracoastal West area is growing and that many of her customers are interested in that area.

She said the plans for the nuclear carrier coming to Mayport are still under consideration, if a bit delayed, but that would mean a great deal of military personnel that have a higher pay scale coming to that area.

“With easy access through Wonderwood Drive, I expect that area to really continue to grow and increase in price point,” said Vernon.

Judy Fields of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services said there is great variety in pricing and style as well as types of communities which is great for her customers.

Fields also liked the Smart Home feature in Paradise Key South Beach homes.

“My customers are excited that there is new availability in that area,” said Fields.
