Both my dad, Daniel, and I have been watching Jay Leno since his first show on The Tonight Show, so we’re big fans.
Knowing Jay’s favorite outfit to wear when he’s not on stage is all denim, we decided to dress that way for Jay’s show Thursday at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts.
About two hours before the show, I made a quick trip to Goodwill on Southside Boulevard and found two denim shirts, which were the last ones they had. Not even looking at sizes, I grabbed them, picked up my dad for the show and we went Downtown.
We loved the show. My dad laughed hysterically throughout, to the point where people sitting near us would mention his laugh and how fun it was to them.
After the show, we saw Jay as he was walking from the Times-Union Center over to the Omni, where he was staying.
“I love the shirts,” Leno said.
Then he posed for a photo with us.
