Greencore USA plans a job fair this week, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at CareerSource Northeast Florida at 215 N. Market St. Downtown.

The company, which makes sandwiches and salads for the convenience and supermarket industries, is recruiting more than 200 employees over the next several months. Its warehouse and production facility is in North Jacksonville at Jacksonville International Tradeport.

The company says it is offering full-time positions based on a four-day week pattern and for two shifts.

This week’s job fair focuses on equipment maintenance staff, quality assurance technicians, production team leads, machine operators, sanitation works and warehouse leads for the day and second shifts.

A job fair for production line workers will be held in mid-April.

City Council approved an incentives agreement last week in which Greencore will create 283 jobs and invest in a $10 million expansion.

Greencore makes sushi, sandwiches, salads and other ready-to-eat and ready-to cook-entrees for retailers like 7-Eleven, Trader Joe’s and Publix Super Markets Inc.

The $296,500 deal involves a $155,000 Recapture Enhanced Value grant paid out over seven years and $141,500 from the city’s Countywide Economic Development Fund.
