Watson Realty Corp. hired former First Coast News anchor Phil Amato as a sales associate in its Hodges office.
Amato has 10 years of experience as a licensed Realtor and real estate investor in Jacksonville.
He worked at First Coast News for more than 20 years, which included a schedule of having to get up at 2:30 a.m. Amato said his new career will give him more time to spend with his wife and two children.

The developers of Beacon Riverside have hired Molly Bole as sales gallery manager for onsite sales coordination. Bole will oversee administrative operations and sales and contract support activities for Beacon Riverside.
Lennar Homes has named Matt Devereaux president for the company’s Jacksonville Division.
Devereaux worked as Lennar’s director of sales for 12 years and was promoted in December 2013 to director of Operations before being named to the division president position. Devereaux has led a team of 47 to annual sales exceeding $300 million and over 1,000 new home sales per year.
Keller Williams Jacksonville Realty announced that Mandarin-based Realtor Jennifer Henry of Henry Home Partners received accreditation as a productivity coach.
She attended an August symposium in Austin, Texas, offered to top coaches from around the country.
GreenPointe Homes has named Margaret Jennesse president of its East Florida Division.
Jennesse will oversee the division’s strategic positioning and community growth plan, manage day-to-day operations, oversee the sale and construction of homes and grow the company’s regional land base.
Jennesse’s expertise includes creating and successfully managing more than 25 large-scale, master-planned communities, working for such companies as Crescent Communities, LandMar Group LLC, The St. Joe Co. and Arvida.
Watson Realty Corp. announced Sharon Voss of Watson was honored as Associate Realtor of the Year at the Florida Realtors Conference and Trade Expo in Orlando in August.
“Sharon has contributed a tremendous amount of dedication and time at the local, state and national levels and is associated with Watson Realty Corp.’s Wekiva/Longwood office,” said William A. Watson Jr., founder of the agency.
Voss is a director for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and on NAR’s land use committee. She also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots, Paws for the Cause, Mother Cabrini’s Society, the Junior Achievement Program and her church.
Ben Walters has been hired as president of GreenPointe’s West Florida Division.
Walters has ties to Northeast Florida including leading a team at Cascades at World Golf Village in Northeast Florida.
He will be responsible for the company’s homebuilding operations in Southwest, Florida including River Hall in Fort Myers and Southern Hills Plantation in the Tampa Bay area. He will oversee land acquisition, construction, sales and customer service.
