Museum of Science & History Director of Planetarium and School Programs Eddie Whistler demonstrated Tuesday for the JEA board of directors what happens when a toy balloon is immersed in liquid nitrogen. Instead of meeting in the board room at JEA Tower along Church Street, the board convened in the museum’s JEA Science Theater, which is underwritten by the publicly owned utility. More than 40,000 public, private and home-schooled students attend curriculum-based programs in the 100-seat theater each year.
