It took a ladder truck and a little luck, but three men were rescued Thursday afternoon at the Duval County jail after the scaffolding they were on collapsed.

The men were repairing the jail’s windows when the platform toppled, according to Daily Record news partner WJXT TV 4.

One of the men was rescued by a co-worker, while the other two had to hang on for the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department to arrive.

It took less than 30 minutes for the rescue, according to WJXT. The accident is under investigation, but police believe a heavy thunderstorm with strong winds played a role.
