Newcomer Aaron Bowman, a senior partner with the JAXUSA Partnership, easily won election to City Council District 3.

Bowman won nearly two-thirds of the vote against James Nealis. Both are Republicans.

Richard Clark, who is term-limited, currently represents the district.

Clark is one of three people Bowman cited as providing major guidance in his election. He also mentioned Daniel Davis, who is president and CEO of JAX Chamber, and Scott Shine. Davis also served as council president and a state lawmaker.

“I couldn’t have done this without the support of my family and several close friends who have done this before,” he said.
