Florida State College at Jacksonville held its 48th annual commencement ceremony Thursday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Arena, with about 7,000 students receiving degrees or certificates. The keynote speaker was Calvin Mackie, an award-winning Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics professor and mentor.
