Before the preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars fans got in a party mood and checked out offerings at the stadium.
A tent for a pest control company. One for an airline. And, a whole house.
Dream Finders Homes welcomed fans to the Stadium Home, a fully furnished 2,500-square-foot home built just inside Gate 4. The first of its kind in Jacksonville, it wasn’t clear until the doors opened at 4:30 p.m. how many would walk through a model built at a football stadium.
Or, whether any of them would be shoppers.
But walk through they did, many dressed in teal and black and wearing stacks of Mardi Gras beads. By 6 p.m., Dream Finders associates ran out of forms for the iPad giveaway.
“It’s been phenomenal,” said Kay Hall of Dream Finders. “We’ve probably had 300 to 400 come.”
Many seemed to simply be enjoying the home’s general splendor. But Sales Assistant Charlotte Braithwaite said one visitor asked about buying.
