Work continues to demolish the former Duval County Courthouse on East Bay Street .
The west side of the former courthouse has been removed.
It will be nearly four months before the steel girders encased with reinforced concrete that formed the frame of the former courthouse will be just a memory along East Bay Street.
The site of the former City Hall is being cleared after much of the large debris from the implosion of the building on Jan. 20 was crushed into aggregate.

Windows on the Blackstone Building that were broken when the former City Hall across the street was imploded have yet to be replaced.
The former Duval County Courthouse on East Bay Street is slowly being demolished, but the nearly 60-year-old building isn't giving up easily.
Its removal was originally scheduled to be complete by June 1, but the contractor has asked the city for a two-month extension on the deadline to Aug. 1.
Also, the windows on the Blackstone Building that were broken Jan. 20 when the former City Hall across the street was imploded have not been replaced.
Glass panes that would match the original windows that were installed when the building opened in 1974 cannot be obtained, so the latest plan is to replace all the windows on the south side of the building.
