Publix applies for permits to build Marketplace at Nocatee

The grocery store owns and will anchor the shopping center that straddles Duval and St. Johns counties.

Publix Super Markets Inc. took the next steps toward building its Marketplace at Nocatee grocery store and shopping center in Duval and St. Johns counties by applying for permits with the city of Jacksonville.

The three permit applications are for the estimated $14 million Publix with a drive-thru pharmacy and a Publix Liquors store as well as two multitenant retail buildings at a combined project cost of $2.7 million.

The project is planned on 10.93 acres at 75 Irondale Road, which is south of Nocatee Parkway and west of Valley Ridge Boulevard at Burbank Avenue.
