Interior build-out is underway, but no opening date has been provided, for Sizemore’s Coastal Kitchen in the former Salt Jax Beach space in Jacksonville Beach.
The restaurant is at 333 First St. N., Unit 110, fewer than two blocks north of the Seawalk Pavilion.
It is along the former boardwalk and would be one of only a few spots other than hotels offering oceanfront dining in Jacksonville Beach.
Brothers Alex and Daniel Sizemore own the restaurant.
No opening date is listed on its web page. The restaurant posted on Instagram it planned a May opening and advertised a job fair April 4.
ServStar, the building’s owner, has not responded to requests for more information.
The restaurant’s marketing office said that Ronda Hernandez will be the general manager and Sean Murray is the executive chef.
Murray has worked at the Atlantic Beach Country Club as its junior sous chef and executive sous chef at North Beach Fish Camp in Neptune Beach, according to his LinkedIn page.
Salt Jax Beach closed Labor Day weekend 2024 after more than 13 years in operation.
