Fansler Construction announced Aug. 26 it broke ground on the 227-unit Royal Palms Main Street apartment community in North Jacksonville.

Royal Palms is at 15275 N. Main St. south of Pecan Park Road. It is about 0.7 miles east of Interstate 95.

Fansler said the 11-acre Royal Palms will comprise three four-story apartment buildings and seven two-story townhomes. It is planned for completion in early 2027.

The city issued a building permit Aug. 13 for the 251,543-square-foot project at a job cost of $28.68 million.

The site plan for the Royal Palms Main Street apartment community in North Jacksonville.

Royal Palms is being developed by Ceiba Groupe, a Fort Lauderdale-based real estate firm specializing in luxury multifamily and mixed-use communities. Fansler said it is the company’s first project in the Jacksonville market.

In 2022, Ceiba Groupe bought the property for the apartments in four parcels through CG North Main LLC for about $1.36 million, property records show.

“North Jacksonville is growing rapidly and we are thrilled to partner with Ceiba Groupe to bring another quality community to the area to help meet the housing demand,” said Jason Fansler, president and CEO of Fansler Construction.

Royal Palms Main Street will include a clubhouse, oversized gym, resort-style pool, a landscaped walking path, garages and fenced backyards.

Fansler said Royal Palms is the company’s third project in the North Jacksonville area.

Fansler completed the 285-unit Apela House at 14355 N. Main St. earlier this year. It delivered the 290-unit community, The Note, at 14041 Hyatt Road, in spring 2024.

Both projects are within about 2 miles of the Royal Palms.
