Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders is preparing to open in a closed Dunkin’ restaurant space along Baymeadows Road.
The city issued a permit Aug. 26 for Kaneco Construction of Atlantic Beach to renovate the 2,010-square-foot space at 8520 Baymeadows Road, Unit 1, at a project cost of $200,000.
Plans indicate nine tables and 34 seats as well as a drive-thru window.
Doherty Sommers Architects Engineers Inc. of Jacksonville Beach is the architect.
Judy L. Phillips of the Judy L. Phillips Revocable Trust Agreement bought the 4,000-square-foot building May 1, 2025, for $2.275 million. The structure was built in 2014 on a 0.65-acre site.
