It is too bad Adventure Landing in Jacksonville Beach is being dismantled before it could serve as the set for a spooky movie in an abandoned amusement park.

It is beginning to look like a ghost town. Signs have been removed. The pools are drained. The alligators are no longer in the moat.

For 30 years, the waterpark and arcade provided fun with laser tag, go-karts, batting cages and miniature golf. It closed in October to make way for apartments and retail that will start construction in the first quarter of 2026.

The arcade games, kitchen equipment, furniture and just about anything that isn’t nailed down is being auctioned. The online auction ends at midnight Dec. 4. The link is:bramsey.hibid.com/catalog/695986/jacksonville-family-entertainment-center-liquidation.

The Jacksonville Beach Adventure Landing said Oct. 15 it permanently closed after 30 years of operation.
