A Chicago-based real estate investment company bought the 555-unit Country Club Lakes apartments in South Jacksonville on Dec. 15 for $94.4 million.
The community is at 4090 Hodges Blvd., south of Jacksonville Golf & Country Club between Hunt Club Road North and Chets Creek Boulevard. Windsor Parke Golf Club is across the street to the east.
Waterton, which also manages its apartments, bought the community through WRPV XV CCL Jacksonville LLC. The per-unit price was $170,090.
The Milestone Group of Dallas sold the property through CCL Property LL LLC. The deed was recorded Dec. 30 by the Duval County Clerk of Court.
“Although Jacksonville has experienced elevated supply in recent years, the construction pipeline is slowing, and strong economic growth in the region continues to drive demand for quality rental housing.” said Jeremy Stern, senior vice president, acquisitions, Waterton, in a news release.
Waterton says its portfolio includes about $9.5 billion in real estate assets. It shows 70 apartment communities on its website.
Country Club Lakes offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments with one and two baths. Units are 800 to 1,410 square feet with rents from $1,418 to $2,295, according to apartments.com.
Amenities include a dog park with washing station, walking and biking trails, pool, clubhouse, business center, fitness center, playground and picnic areas, yoga room, an outdoor kitchen and resident lounge and screened-in patios and balconies. The property manager and management is on site.
The property was last sold for $56.4 million in February 2013.
