‘Be smart with your kid’s smartphone’ presentation Feb. 27

The FBI and Clay County Sheriff’s Office will review social media apps used to exploit children.

FBI Jacksonville, in partnership with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Clay County District Schools, will present “Be smart with your kid’s smartphone” 6:30-8 p.m. Feb. 27 at Ridgeview High School in Orange Park.

The presentation is free and open to all parents, guardians and educators.

Since 2018, more than 3,000 child advocates have attended “Be Smart” events across Northeast Florida to learn how to better protect youth from being targeted online by predators and extremists.
