Hardee’s renovations approved in Arlington

The fire-damaged restaurant now has site-work and renovation permits for a $1.75 million project.

A week after the city approved a $1 million site-work project for the closed, fire-damaged Hardee’s along Merrill Road in Arlington, the renovation permit was issued at a project cost of $755,210.

The city issued the site work permit June 26 followed by the renovation permit July 3 for the 3,426-square-foot building.

The Revered Group of America LLC and Tim Young Construction, both of Jacksonville, have been listed as contractors.

The building is being remodeled after the fast-food restaurant sustained fire damage from a roof replacement during what the permit says was in summer 2024.

Hardee’s is being renovated on 1.1 acres at 9111 Merrill Road, east of Southside Connector and Interstate 295.

Plans indicate seating for 78 people and a drive-thru.

Blue Leaf Landscape of Jacksonville is the landscape architect.

Franchisee Phase Three Brands of Tampa is listed as the business owner.

Doherty Sommers Architects Engineers Inc. of Jacksonville Beach is the architect.

Hardee’s Restaurants LLC of Franklin, Tennessee, owns the structure, shown in property records as 3,642 square feet, built in 1992.

ActionNewsJax.com reported April 27, 2024, that fire broke out early that morning, without injuries.
