Gate Precast announced July 21 it acquired Precision Stone Setting Co. of Hiram, Georgia.
Founded in 1984 by Harold Smith, Precision Stone offers planning, crane services, equipment hauling and “extensive expertise in architectural and structural precast erection.”
Gate makes prefabricated concrete systems for such structures as parking garages.
Gate said in a news release it has partnered with Precision Stone for more than 30 years, collaborating in Atlanta stadium projects including Truist Park, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena. The companies also worked together on the St. Regis Hotel in Atlanta and the Four Seasons Hotel in Nashville.
Gate Precast is part of Minnesota-based The Wells Companies Inc. Wells acquired Gate Precast in July 2024. Its headquarters in Jacksonville is in Brooklyn at 245 Riverside Ave., Suite 130.

The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
