New York City-based H&H Bagels will open June 26 in St. Johns County.
The shop is at 3735 Longleaf Pine Parkway in Saint Johns.
It will be the first Northeast Florida location and the second in Florida for the company, according to a June 24 news release.
It is in The Shoppes of Aberdeen, south of Race Track Road. Ash Properties is the landlord.
Neighboring restaurants are Mei Amici Pizzeria and Cantina Louie.
Founded in 1972 on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, H&H Bagels has had cameos in New York-centric shows such as “Seinfeld” and “Sex and the City.”
The brand has seven locations in New York City as well as shops in Boca Raton; Santa Monica, California; and Washington, D.C.
The Northeast Florida franchise is owned by Josh Witt, who previously operated Tropical Smoothie Café stores and owns Willie Jewell’s Old School BBQ.
Hours will be 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
The release said H&H Bagels has been a New York City institution since 1972 and has begun a national expansion through franchising.
A menu says that in addition to its bagels, it is renowned for its signature fresh griddled egg and smoked salmon sandwiches.
