After more than 25 years in operation, Seven Bridges Grille & Brewery in Tinseltown permanently closed June 23.
The closing was confirmed by staff June 24.
The restaurant at 9735 Gate Parkway N. has changed hands several times.
Seven Bridges is owned by Kelly Companies of Southern California, a private equity company with offices in San Diego and Pittsburgh that owns multiple restaurants and other businesses.
Kelly Companies acquired Seven Bridges in 2024 from SPB Hospitality, who sold it along with Ragtime Tavern in Atlantic Beach. Kelly Companies closed Ragtime in January.
Private equity investment fund Fortress Investment Group owns SPB Hospitality.
Before that, it was owned by CraftWorks Holdings, which declared bankruptcy in 2020 and reach a deal with Fortress.
The Seven Bridges building was built in 1999 and opened that year, according to The Florida Times-Union.
Seven Bridges served a selection of salads, sandwiches, steaks, chicken, fish and pizza.
It brewed six styles of craft beer. The Soul Planet Pale Ale was brewed in Jacksonville. The others were made in Denver. The Seven Bridges restaurant building is owned by Bruce L Sanft Rental Properties LLC in Boca Raton, which acquired it in 2018 for $2.1 million from Seven Bridges Investments LLC.
The 10,854-square-foot building is listed for sale by Vero Capital Group for $2.5 million. It is on 1.55 acres.
Seven Bridges is the second high-profile restaurant to close in Tinseltown in the past weeks. On June 5 it was reported that Hooters at 4521 Southside Blvd. had ceased operations, leaving only the original Jacksonville Hooters at Goodbys Creek at 8938 San Jose Blvd. in operation in the area.
