The city issued a permit June 26 for a $1 million site-work project for the closed, fire-damaged Hardee’s along Merrill Road in Arlington.

Hardee’s is being renovated on 1.1 acres at 9111 Merrill Road, east of Southside Connector and Interstate 295.
The city also has been reviewing a permit application for the renovation of the 3,426-square-foot building at an estimated project cost of $755,210.
Plans indicate seating for 78 people and a drive-thru.
Blue Leaf Landscape of Jacksonville is the landscape architect.
Franchisee Phase Three Brands of Tampa is listed as the business owner.
Doherty Sommers Architects Engineers Inc. of Jacksonville Beach is the architect.
Hardee’s Restaurants LLC of Franklin, Tennessee, owns the structure, shown in property records as 3,642 square feet, built in 1992.
