Permits are beginning to sink in for the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences pools and water features at its Downtown development on the Northbank of the St. Johns River.
The city issued a permit May 2 for Southern Aquatics Inc. of Ponte Vedra to furnish and install an in-ground family pool at a project cost of $100,000.
Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan is developing the Four Seasons at 1406 E. Bay St. through Shipyards Hotel Jacksonville LLC.
The city is reviewing four more permits for an adult pool, a family spa and two water features at a combined cost of $340,000.
Khan is developing the Four Seasons and a neighboring office building, where the team will be headquartered.
Southern Aquatics is the contractor for the water projects. PCL Construction LLC of Orlando is the overall general contractor.
The 10-story Four Seasons Hotel and Residences comprises 170 hotel guestrooms and 26 residential units on 5.1 acres. The project is 542,700 square feet of enclosed space and 123,953 square feet of unenclosed space.
There will be a spa, restaurants, ballrooms, bars, pools and other amenities. The hotel is projected to open in 2026.
EverBank Stadium is undergoing a $1.4 billion renovation as the Stadium of the Future expected to be completed in 2028.
The city shows that the total site improvement cost for the Four Seasons and the One Shipyards Place office building, including site work, foundations, construction, mechanical, electrical fire protection systems and related work, reached almost $363.37 million as of April 30.
