Foxtail Coffee Co. opened May 5 in the Wildlight community in Yulee.
The shop, the chain’s first in Nassau County, is at 76010-4 William Burgess Blvd., off Florida 200, in the Publix-anchored Crossings at Wildlight shopping center.
The shop is open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Rhodes Building Co. of Oviedo was the contractor. According to the county, the build-out cost for the 2,189-square-foot space was an estimated $378,237.
It is the fifth Foxtail Coffee location in Northeast Florida. The fourth, at The Palms at Gate Parkway, opened Nov. 7. Others are in St. Augustine, San Marco and Ponte Vedra Beach. A Palm Valley location, confirmed April 15, will be the sixth in the area.
According to foxtailcoffee.com, the company has 87 locations in Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Nevada. The website also lists upcoming Florida shops in Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville Beach and Lakeland.
A Murray Hill location appears on a Colliers leasing flier but is not listed among the “coming soon” sites on the company’s website. A call to Colliers was not returned.
Foxtail Coffee also features Kelly’s Homemade Ice Cream, which began as a pink food truck.
Bohemian Bull opens
About two years after announcing plans on social media to open in Yulee, Bohemian Bull Tavern and Beer Garden opened April 17 in the Crossings at Wildlight.
The restaurant, at 76010-1 William Burgess Blvd., is at the far east end of the center near Grumpy’s Restaurant.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday. The kitchen closes one hour earlier.
“We are exceptionally close to getting open, and it has been a long and arduous road, but there is light at the end of the tunnel,” franchisee Justin de Boer said in an April 3 email.
At the time, he said the restaurant had completed and passed all building inspections and was awaiting fire marshal approval for its certificate of occupancy.
Jacksonville-based Brink Construction Group was the contractor.
The restaurant is the chain’s first in Florida.
Bohemian Bull was founded in 2013 on James Island in Charleston, South Carolina.
