T.J. Maxx opening May 18 in Jacksonville Beach

The off-price retailer already has five stores in Jacksonville and Yulee.

Off-price retailer T.J. Maxx announced it will open May 18 at the South Beach Regional shopping center in Jacksonville Beach.

The Framingham, Massachusetts-based retailer says it has more than 1,300 stores in 49 states and Puerto Rico. It has five in Northeast Florida, comprising one in Yulee and four in Jacksonville.

It sells brand name and designer fashion, accessories, jewelry, home, beauty and more.

T.J. Maxx is opening at the west end of the South Beach Regional shopping center in Jacksonville Beach.

“We look forward to providing local shoppers with an ever-changing selection of high-quality merchandise at exceptional value so they can express their true ‘maxx’ selves,” said Nancy Carpenter, T.J. Maxx president, in a news release.

The 25,000-square-foot store will operate at 4054 Third St. S.  It will fill the closed Bed Bath & Beyond space a

Regular store hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily.

The grand opening hours May 18 will be  8 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

The company will donate $10,000 to Operation New Uniform. The new store will also join other stores nationwide in sponsoring Save the Children’s U.S. Programs through T.J. Maxx’s annual in-store fundraising campaign.

Jacksonville-based Regency Centers Corp. owns the 302,737-square-foot South Beach Regional shopping center at 3740-4194 S. Third St., north of Butler Boulevard.

Anchors include The Home Depot, Nordstrom Rack, Ross Dress for Less, Trader Joe’s and Staples.
