A Jacksonville architect and former member of the Downtown Development Review Board will move to a board seat on the Downtown Investment Authority after being confirmed May 27 by the Jacksonville City Council.
Council voted 17-0 in favor of Resolution 2025-0229, which confirmed Lee’s appointment to the DIA board by Council President Randy White. Council member Michael Boylan was on excused absence and member Rory Diamond was not present for the vote.
The item was on Council’s consent agenda and was approved with no discussion.
Lee will fill a seat vacated by Carol Worsham for a partial term set to expire June 30, 2026.
He served on the DDRB as a member from 2016 to 2024. He also served as chair.
Lee is managing partner with Hoefer Welker, an architecture, planning and design firm based in Kansas City, Missouri.
The DDRB and DIA share a staff and perform related functions.
The nine-seat DIA board comprises five positions appointed by the mayor and four appointed by Council. With Lee’s installation, the board will be filled.
