Downtown Vision Inc. announced the winners Nov. 13 of its 11th annual DTJax Awards recognizing community leaders, organizations, businesses and entrepreneurs supporting revitalization of Downtown Jacksonville.
DVI is a nonprofit business advocacy organization whose mission includes promoting Downtown locally and beyond, organizing events and activities to invigorate the core, and providing maintenance, trash pickup, security and hospitality through its Downtown Ambassador program.
The award winners are:
Ambassador of the Year: Trai Robinson, a Jacksonville native and Air Force veteran.

Downtowner of the Year: Bryan Moll, principal of the Gateway Jax development partnership.

Small Business of the Year: The Greenhouse & Bar, 200 Riverside Ave., Unit 2.

Retail Project of the Year: Pour Taproom and Pizza Dynamo, which opened in June in the VyStar Credit Union garage at 61 N. Laura St.


Downtown Project of the Year: Union Terminal Warehouse, the $73 million adaptive reuse of the historic warehouse at 700 E. Union St. has apartments, retail space and more.

Downtown Activator of the Year: Hush Hush Headphones, a creative experiment by co-founder David McCracken in silent disco technology.

Downtown Achievement Award: Guy Parola, director of operations for the Downtown Investment Authority and a staff member for the DIA since its inception.
“At Downtown Vision, we’re proud to celebrate the people, projects and organizations who make Downtown Jacksonville great,” said Jake Gordon, CEO of Downtown Vision, in a Nov. 14 news release.
“Now in our eleventh year, the DTJax Awards continue to highlight those who see the potential in Downtown and work tirelessly to make it even better.”
The awards were presented at The Lark in Downtown Jacksonville.
