The Fiorentino Group, a Jacksonville-based government lobbying firm, announced Nov. 21 that it changed its name to The Florida Group.
The firm said the name reflects its “growing government affairs and business development services at the local, state and federal levels.”
Founded in 2002, The Florida Group says it specializes in transportation, economic development, local governmental matters, education, health care and appropriations lobbying.
The firm represents its clients in Jacksonville, Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.
“As the industries we serve undergo transformation, so do we. This evolution reflects our commitment to growth — not only locally, but regionally and beyond,” founder Marty Fiorentino said in a news release. “With our experience, strategic partnerships and a track record of impactful results, we remain committed to shaping the future of politics and business.”
The firm also announced leadership changes to coincide with the rebranding.

Fiorentino will remain in his role as president and Joe Mobley will continue as managing partner. Davis Bean will take on the role of chair of state and federal practices. Melissa Langley Braude will work as the chair of the firm’s local practice.
“These changes position us to offer current and future clients a broader reach in Florida and Washington, D.C.,” Mobley said in a statement.
The Florida Group operates out of its new headquarters at 2120 Oak St. in Jacksonville, as well as its office in Tallahassee.
