Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders says it is open in Jacksonville along Baymeadows Road.
The restaurant is at 8520 Baymeadows Road, Unit 1, between Interstate 95 and Philips Highway in a closed Dunkin space.
Huey Magoo’s announced the opening in a Nov. 19 media release.
The chain said the location is owned by Michael Phillips, who has 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry.
“Michael has been an exceptional partner in our mission to bring Huey Magoo’s to more communities, and we’re thrilled to celebrate his fourth location,” said Andy Howard, president and CEO of Huey Magoo’s, in the release. “Jacksonville is a vibrant market for us.”
Phillips, a Huey Magoo’s franchisee through Birdbox Ventures LLC, has opened three of the chicken tenders restaurants. Those opened in Jacksonville Beach in October 2021; the Mandarin area of Jacksonville in May 2022; and the Wildlight area of Yulee in July 2024.
The city issued a permit in August for Kaneco Construction of Atlantic Beach to renovate the 2,010-square-foot space at a project cost of $200,000.
Huey Magoo’s, which calls itself “The Filet Mignon of Chicken,” sells grilled, hand-breaded or “sauced” premium chicken tenders, salads, sandwiches and wraps.
Orlando-based Huey Magoo’s, founded in 2004, has more than 80 locations in 12 states.
