The 1.4 million-square-foot outdoor St. Johns Town Center shopping center comprises more than 175 stores, including nearly 30 restaurants and food venues.

Simon Property Group of Indianapolis is the landlord of the center, which anchors northwest Butler Boulevard and Interstate 295.

Over the past two years, Simon has been regrouping retailers to appeal to shoppers in similar target markets. Most of that work has now been completed and the construction walls that were up last year during the holiday season are down.

The shopping center celebrated Nov. 15 with a Holiday Spectacular 20th Anniversary event featuring entertainment, a tree lighting, fireworks and the arrival of Santa.

Here’s a look at what’s new and what’s moved the past year.

New entry signs

St. Johns Town Center replaced its four main entry signs that have greeted visitors since the project launched its first phase of shopping in 2005.

Replacing the signs cost about $403,000. Dowling Signs of North Central Florida did the work.
