Bodybar Pilates said Oct. 2 it opened in the Mandarin Landing shopping center in Jacksonville.
The fitness studio is at 10601 San Jose Blvd., Suite 101, at the north end of the center adjacent to Kirkland’s Home. The space previously was an I Love Kickboxing gym. Mandarin Landing is anchored by Whole Foods Market.
Bodybar said in a news release that the franchise is owned by Stephanie and Logan Ridley. It is the first Northeast Florida location for the franchise.
Stephanie Ridley previously was development coordinator for the Roc Solid Foundation. Logan Ridley is a retired U.S. Navy veteran.
The release said the Ridleys plan to open several additional Bodybar Pilates locations in the Jacksonville area.
“Our expert-led classes cater to all fitness levels in a welcoming environment, utilizing state-of-the-art Pilates equipment,” Stephanie Ridley said in the release. “We welcome everyone to come in and try Pilates at our studio and see how it can help anyone achieve their long-term fitness goals.”
Headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, Bodybar Pilates opened its first studio in 2012 and began franchising in 2019.
In May, it said it had 54 locations and had signed 20 new franchise agreements.
Also in May, Prestige Franchise Partners said it had taken over franchise development for Bodybar Pilates.
On Sept. 16, the company that manages Kirkland’s Home and Bed Bath & Beyond Home stores announced that Kirkland’s would be converting into the Bed Bath & Beyond format over the next two years.
