Jacksonville-based Campers Inn RV intends to buy Lazydays RV for $30 million, the companies said Sept. 16.
Lazydays Holdings Inc. is a public company headquartered in Seffner near Tampa. It trades on the Nasdaq as GORV. It operates 14 dealership locations in nine states.
Lazydays reported $131.3 million in revenue in the second quarter of 2025 with a net loss of $24.6 million. The company lost $180 million in 2024 on revenue of $871.6 million.
A report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Sept. 16 by Lazydays Holdings states that the companies entered into a nonbinding letter of intent Sept. 11.
The letter of intent states that, after the closing of the transaction, Campers Inn will take over the operation of the Lazydays’ dealerships in Tucson, Arizona; Johnstown, Colorado; Seffner; Knoxville, Tennessee, including the company’s Strawberry Plains, Airstream of Knoxville, and Turkey Creek sites; and St. George, Utah.
The letter of intent further states that Campers Inn is assessing whether to continue to operate Lazydays RV’s other dealerships after the closing of the transaction. Campers Inn’s target final closing date is before Nov. 27 and no later than Dec. 1.
Campers Inn says it is the largest acquisition in its nearly 60-year history and expands its nationwide presence to 48 dealerships in 22 states.
“By adding these Lazydays locations, we are strengthening our ability to serve RVers nationwide, while staying true to our values of Integrity, Teamwork, Continuous Improvement, and Sustainability. We look forward to welcoming new customers into our family and continuing to provide them with the trusted service and support they deserve,” Jeff Hirsch, owner and president of Campers Inn RV, said in a news release.
“Throughout our 49-year history, Lazydays has played a leading role in the RV industry, recognized for giving our customers a great sales and service experience, and being pivotal to their RV adventures. It has been a transformative few years as an industry, and within Lazydays, while navigating a rapidly evolving industry and an increasingly complex retail landscape," Lazydays CEO Ron Fleming said in a news release.
"Lazydays was built on the core values of Customer First, Teamwork, Professionalism, Accountability, Family, and Fun, and we have no doubt Campers Inn RV will continue to uphold these values for many years to come with our customers, our employees, and our OEM partners."
The dealership in Seffner will continue operating under the Lazydays RV brand name, while all other acquired dealerships will transition into the Campers Inn RV brand. All employees at the acquired dealerships will be retained with Campers Inn RV, the company said.
Campers Inn RV moved its headquarters from Kingston, New Hampshire, to Jacksonville in 2016 and received $132,000 in city and state incentives. In 2019, Campers Inn RV acquired Dick Gore’s RV World’s dealerships in Jacksonville, St. Augustine and Richmond Hill, Georgia.
Within an hour of the announcement, Lazydays stock surged from $2.59 to nearly $6 a share, closing at $3.06.
