Maryann Farhat joins GreenPointe Holdings

Maryann Farhat is the new general counsel at GreenPointe Holdings. She will lead the company’s legal oversight and provide strategic counsel across its real estate development operations.

“Maryann’s extensive experience in real estate and business law, coupled with her proven leadership, makes her an invaluable addition to our team. Her expertise in legal and compliance matters will be instrumental as we continue to grow and innovate in our ventures,” GreenPointe Holdings President and COO Grady Miars said in a news release.

The company said with nearly a decade of legal experience, Farhat brings knowledge in real estate law, contract negotiation and disputes, property disputes, construction defects and title insurance claims. Her strategic insight and capabilities will help advance GreenPointe’s development initiatives.

Farhat received a J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and a bachelor’s in psychology at the University of Central Florida.

GreenPointe Holdings was founded by Edward Burr in 2008. With headquarters in Jacksonville and regional offices throughout Florida, GreenPointe’s current portfolio comprises 20 master-planned communities in Florida with about 27,000 homesites, 2,200 multifamily units and 950,000 square feet of commercial and retail space and more than $1 billion invested to date, the company said.
