Twelve inaugural class graduates of Jacksonville University College of Law sat for the state Bar Examination in July. Eleven passed – 91.7% - putting JU’s first class just slightly behind the University of Florida College of Law at 92.8%.

The Florida Board of Bar Examiners released the results of the July state Bar exam Sept. 22.

The results of the 2025 Florida Bar exam.

“We are going for 100% completion, 100% jobs, 100% Bar passage. No grad left behind,” JU College of Law Randall C. Berg Jr. Founding Dean Nick Allard said of the results.

“We are almost there. That is my goal and pledge to our grads, JU and the people of Jacksonville. We are so grateful for all their confidence, effort and all they have done to make this strong result in difficult times possible.”

One of JU’s inaugural class of graduates is taking the New York State Bar exam and the inaugural graduate who did not pass in July will take the exam again, probably in February.

“Our talented, dedicated faculty and academic success team already are working to sustain excellent outcomes for our grads in the future as we continue to steadily grow,” Allard said.

The JU College of Law launched its first class in 2022 at VyStar Tower with 14 students. The campus moved to 121 W. Forsyth St., the historic former Atlantic National Bank Building, in 2024.

JU’s 2028 cohort of juris doctor candidates began classes Aug. 11. There are 134 students enrolled in classes at the Downtown campus.
