Amazon announced Sept. 25 the expansion of its grocery offerings in Florida through a partnership with Winn-Dixie, now available for grocery delivery on Amazon.com.
Customers in Jacksonville and Orlando can shop Winn-Dixie’s selection of grocery items on Amazon alongside Amazon’s selection of grocery and household items.
A news release from Amazon said the launch is another step in delivering increased choice, convenience and value to Amazon customers. Through the collaboration, customers in the Jacksonville and Orlando metropolitan areas will have access to Winn-Dixie’s produce, meats, private label brands and specialty items delivered directly to their doorstep.
“We’re always looking for ways to make grocery shopping easier, more convenient, and meet evolving customer needs,” Sophie Turrell, director of U.S. grocery partnerships at Amazon, said in the release. “By bringing Winn-Dixie’s selection to Amazon, we’re giving customers in Jacksonville and Orlando more choice and flexibility in how they shop for groceries, all with the convenience of Amazon delivery.”
The new service is available locally in Jacksonville, Atlantic Beach, Fleming Island, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Orange Park, Ponte Vedra, Ponte Vedra Beach and Saint Johns.
Customers can shop by visiting amazon.com/winndixie or using the Amazon shopping app.
“Our collaboration with Amazon marks an exciting milestone in expanding access to Winn-Dixie’s high-quality, affordable groceries,” Adam Kirk, chief customer and digital officer for Winn-Dixie’s parent company, Southeastern Grocers, said in the release.
Amazon said for a limited time, both Amazon Prime members and customers without a Prime membership can get free delivery on Winn-Dixie orders over $25 within two-hour delivery windows. Winn-Dixie members can link their Winn-Dixie Rewards account with their Amazon account to earn one point for every $2 spent on Winn-Dixie Amazon orders and redeem their points when shopping in store at Winn-Dixie.
