Less than one week after selling for $3.6 million to a consortium of Georgia and Alabama real estate firms, Adventure Landing in St. Augustine announced it will permanently cease operations April 12.
NRP Lease Holdings LLC, which operates the park, confirmed the closure via a social media post April 7, citing a nonrenewed lease as a contributing factor.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we share that Adventure Landing St. Augustine will be permanently closing,” the announcement reads.
“We’ve loved being part of this community — celebrating birthdays, family nights, first dates, and countless memories with all of you. While we’re sad to see this chapter come to an end, we are incredibly grateful for the years of fun and support you’ve given us.”
The announcement follows the April 2 sale of the 7-acre property by Orlando-based NNN REIT Inc., formerly National Retail Properties Inc., a publicly traded real estate investment trust based in Orlando.
The buyers — M&D Property LLC and IE Property Group LLC, both based in Georgia, and Jones Properties SA LLC, based in Alabama — now control one of the last major infill sites along the Florida 16 corridor, adjacent to the St. Augustine Premium Outlets. The park is at 2780 Florida 16.

Developers had eyed the parcel in the past. On Oct. 1, 2025, the St. Johns River Water Management District began reviewing an application that included demolishing the park and redeveloping the site for commercial use. The permit was not issued and the application was closed.
Hank Woodburn opened the St. Augustine park, which features miniature golf, go-karts and batting cages, in 1995. A 24-year veteran of Putt-Putt Golf Courses of America, Woodburn launched Adventure Landing as a regional amusement brand.
Three Adventure Landings opened in Northeast Florida. St. Augustine Adventure Landing is the last in operation.
The company’s first location, in Jacksonville Beach, included Shipwreck Island Waterpark and permanently closed Oct. 15, 2025. That closure followed years of lease extensions and redevelopment negotiations with Trevato Development Group, which is converting the Beach Boulevard site into a 427-unit apartment complex.
A Blanding Boulevard location on the Westside closed in 2021.
Management at St. Augustine Adventure Landing advised customers to redeem outstanding tickets, vouchers or gift certificates before the park closed.
“Thank you, St. Augustine — it’s been an amazing ride!” Adventure Landing posted.
