CareSpot Urgent Care is building-out its 18th Northeast Florida clinic, and 47th in the state, in the Ortega area of West Jacksonville.

The city issued a permit Feb. 3 for the $763,803 tenant improvement of 2,890 square feet of space at 4461 Beverly Ave., Unit 5, in Roosevelt Marketplace.

CareSpot.com posts that its Roosevelt (Ortega) location is coming soon.

The site is along the east side of Roosevelt Boulevard between Melrose Avenue to the north and Beverly Avenue to the south. It is about 3 miles north of Ortega Park, formerly known as the Roosevelt Square shopping center.

Renee Lynn + Glotta Architecture of Kissimmee is the architect. Dugan Building Co. Inc. of Waterford Township, Michigan, is the contractor.

Plans show six exam rooms, a lab, an X-ray room and other clinic uses.

CareSpot.com shows 17 locations in Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties.

The other 29 locations are throughout central, south and southwest Florida.

CareSpot’s medical partners are Baptist Health, Orlando Health and UF Health.
