The Florida Bar Board of Governors is seeking applicants for vacancies to be filled during its May 15, 2026, meeting.

Lawyer applicants must be members of The Florida Bar and in good standing.

One attorney is needed to serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2026, on the Florida Legal Services Inc. board of directors.

FLS is a nonprofit civil legal aid serving low-income clients throughout the state.

The board oversees governance, ensures fiscal responsibility and upholds the organization’s mission to deliver high-quality legal assistance to low-income and vulnerable people who would not otherwise have the means to obtain a lawyer.

The Florida Medical Malpractice Joint Underwriting Association board of governors seeks one attorney to serve a 2-year term beginning July 1, 2026.

The nine-member board develops a means of obtaining loss and expense experience in medical malpractice issues.

Applications for the vacancies will be accepted until close of business April 6, 2026. The Florida Bar board of governors will review all applications and may request telephone or personal interviews.

Attorneys interested in applying may visit tinyurl.com/bdhft3tr to download the application or call Bar headquarters at 850-561-3127 to obtain the application form.
